Last Meal

I am embarrassed to admit that I ate a good portion of this on a brief stop-over in New York prior to leaving for Kenya. This is not fancy wood-oven New York pizza …but just round the corner take-out (cause you wouldn’t want to eat there) fare. It goes without saying that it is superior to 99% of the pizza you will get in Toronto. It is simplicity itself. The cheese tastes like cheese (and not a petroleum product to be named later). The sauce is tangy and slightly sweet. The crust is thin..but not aggressively so. A hint for amateur pizza-makers...mushrooms should be sauteed lightly before you add them. I'm guessing I won't be getting any more of this for a while.
