Tonight I was lucky enough to see Blue Rodeo play a small club with a few guests including Ron Sexsmith, in Atlanta, GA.

Visit from Luis
It wasn't very long after Luis arrived to stay with us this past weekend before the guns came out.



Our neighbor brought this one over to help out with some business the dog started. I'd never seen a raccoon on our property, and Victor saw this one before any of us did, rendering the little guy unable to walk much. A short while later, Sharon found a toad inside the house - a stowaway inside a plant brought indoors - and safely performed a catch and release.

Home Again
Our three-month stint in the cool north at an end, capped off with a laughter-filled weekend with James and Leslie, we made the pleasant four-day drive back to Austin.

We always wish we had more time to spend off the interstate system. Next time we'd like to do Memphis to Louisville on lesser highways, since what we have seen of Tennessee and Kentucky is so pretty. Or to have time to visit Mammoth Cave would be cool (literally). We stop near there nearly every trip. We did make a stop at Sun Studios in Memphis for the tour, and milkshakes. Lots of old rock n rollers there doing the same. Also went to a fabulous cafeteria-style fish place in Little Rock that I think will be a regular stop on any future trips.
